CARV Protocol — get active in the project with an eye to the drop
CARV is a protocol that allows users to fully control and monetize their personal data. The project is broken down into two components. CARV Protocol, a platform for secure data sharing and CARV Play, a digital identity management application.
The project team has raised $4 million from HashKey Capital, Infinity Ventures and others.
Further in the article we will show how to participate in the activity and earn SOUL points, which in the future, according to the team’s statement, will be converted into an ARS project token on TGE.
Activity Guide
Note: you will need a Metamask-type wallet to pass. If you don’t have one, you can use our guide to set it up and customize it. You will also need various social networks, BNB on opBNB and BNB Chain, Ethereum on zkSync and Linea.
- Go to the site, click Login and connect the wallet.
- Close all pop-up windows.
- Scroll down the page below and click Free CARV. The protocol will then ask you to purchase a CARV ID first. To purchase, click Top up BNB and transfer the required number of BNB tokens to the specified address in the opBNB network:
- After crediting the funds, click MINT and confirm the transaction:
- Click Free CARV and get free points:
Note: if you get an error that you have not mined your CARV ID, wait a bit and reload the page.
- To earn additional points, follow the same steps for all available networks:
Important: gas will need to be paid for each network to be branded. Claym is available once a day.
- Click Play Name Service, enter the desired name and confirm the mint:
Important: the shorter the desired name, the more expensive it will cost.
- In the Account Binding section we can connect various social networks, for which we will also receive additional daily points:
- In the SOUL Challenge section you can perform active tasks. For example, at the moment of writing this article you need to play any game from Steam library for 4 hours to get 300 points:
There is a referral system, you can earn 10% of referral points.
SOUL Steaking
The project’s website has released an update that allows users to steak received tokens by the method described above in the guide. If you haven’t interacted with the project before, it can still be done now.
Steaking also earns tickets that are used to vote for games participating in the 30-day campaign. The total prize pool is 400 million SOUL.
After voting, quests become available where we can accumulate experience. At the end of the campaign, the rewards will be distributed to the participants who voted for the game and completed the quests.
If you have previously accumulated SOUL and already have a certain amount to do the steaking, 3 periods with different yields are available. Also the duration determines the number of tickets received:
- 30 days with 60% APR (a ticket for every 3,000 SOUL);
- 60 days with 96% APR (a ticket for every 2,000 SOUL);
- 90 days with 150% APR (a ticket for every 1,000 SOUL).
Take into account the lock-in period before steaking. It may be worth splitting the SOULs received into different periods, and leaving some of it free. DYOR.
- Go to the site and leaf through to the updated section. Click on Stake your SOUL:
- Choose a term, specify a quantity, and click Stake:
- After receiving the ticket, favor the game whose terms are best for you. If there are enough tickets, you can vote for all or more projects:
- Click on Join in the card of the game you voted for and complete the task. These are mostly social activities and quests in the games themselves:
Conclusion
The project team directly says that the earned points will be converted into project tokens on TGE. How, in what ratio and when – it is unknown. We would also like to note that each of the activities is optional. You can focus on free tasks or just perform check-ins, paying a transaction fee.
