Activities on the Kakarot testnet
Kakarot is a ZK-rollup built on Cairo, a proof-of-concept programming language used in StarkNet. The team is working on full EVM compatibility and making it easier for developers to create new projects, which will serve to scale Ethereum.
The project’s documentation states that due to its adaptive and resilient approach, Kakarot is more zkEVM than other networks. This allows for uninterrupted operation even if the Ethereum network undergoes a hard fork (an update that makes the new version of the network incompatible with the old one).
The amount of funds raised was not disclosed. In June 2023, the team managed to close the previous seed round of funding from StarkWare, LambdaClass, and others. Private investors Rand Hindi, Nicolas Bacca, and Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin also joined.
That same month, Incrypted reviewed Kakarot for available activities. At that time, getting roles on Discord was the only activity available, but such activities can be rewarding later on.

More than a year after our publication, the project team announced the launch of public testing. If you follow the Incrypted airdrops section and got a contributor role back then, you shouldn’t miss the new activity. In case the team holds an airdrop, having a role and being active in the testnet can potentially bring rewards.

Guide to completing the activities
Note: you need a Metamask-type wallet to complete the activity. If you don’t have one, you can use our guide to install and configure it.
- Go to the website and add the Kakarot Sepolia network to your wallet:

Periodically return to interacting with the test network to increase your online participation. When doing this again, it is worth getting test tokens on the faucet again, since the unit allocation is not large and the bridge is not yet working.
Over time, a system of accumulating points will be added to the testnet, so bookmark the airdrops section of your browser so you don’t miss the updates.
Conclusion
The activity does not require real money. Due to the faucet’s restriction on the number of ETH that can be obtained once a day, the execution is complicated and requires several requests to ensure that there are enough test tokens to pay for the fees.
