India Blockchain Summit 2024: making India a global hub for blockchain

The organisers of the India Blockchain Summit (IBS), Giakaa Capital, announced the event’s outcome, which was held in New Delhi on 19 October 2024. They told Incrypted’s team that the event was a significant success and established India as one of the world’s Web3 centers.
The summit attracted over 5,000 attendees, 300 startups and over 150 investors. It also featured 25 exhibition booths that showcased the latest in blockchain, innovative technologies, and digital assets.
India Blockchain Summit was supported by industry players such as Startup India, MeitY Startup Hub, T-Hub, i-Hub, and Apiary By STPI. Thanks to their participation, the summit brought together Web3 leaders, innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from across the globe, the organisers said.
The event was inaugurated by Arvind Kumar, Director General at Software Technology Park of India (STPI). During the event, participants discussed blockchain development, law enforcement, decentralised systems, education, and the public safety situation.
Among the key speakers, the organisers highlighted:
- Omika Dubey, Managing Partner at Giakaa Capital;
- Ashima Batra, Additional Director at FIU India ;
- Nitin Mishra, CTO at ONDC;
- Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder of Polygon;

The organisers stressed that the summit attracted a lot of attention and provided a platform to foster innovation, collaboration, and investment in blockchain.
