Previously, May 15 was the last date users could file the claim.
‘The bar date will be extended to a date and time that is aligned with the voting deadline for creditors to approve a Chapter 11 reorganization plan in the US process’ – the email said.
FTX liquidators expect that date to come in late July or early August, giving customers at least another 10 to 12 weeks to file claims. The company also noted that the exchange’s customers can participate in the lawsuit in the Bahamas, or in the US, but both at the same time.
In addition, the team said that in June 2024 users will receive information about the results of participation in one or another lawsuit, and ‘they will have 6-8 weeks to make their final elections.’
