ETHSofia conference and hackathon to be held in Bulgaria in October

On October 17, 2024, a conference and hackathon with a $15,000 prize pool ETHSofia will kick off in Sofia, Bulgaria. This was announced to Incrypted by the organizers.
This is the first cryptocurrency event of this level in the country, the release emphasized. The event will attract world-class speakers and partners, the organizers added.
The event will be held from October 17 to 19 in Sofia Tech Park. The hackathon will last three days, the conference — two.
World-class partners
As part of the announcement, the organizers introduced new participants of the event. Three cryptocurrency companies were added to the list of platinum partners, these are:
- Binance cryptocurrency exchange;
- MANTRA L1-network;
- THORChain project.
In addition, David Prinsey, head of the exchange’s French division, John Patrick Mullin, co-founder of MANTRA, and J.P. Thor, founder of THORChain, will attend the event.
This is the first Ethereum community event in Bulgaria to be supported by Binance, the organizers said.
The list of partners of the event also includes the Euler Finance platform and SSV Network. The event itself will be attended by representatives of the recruitment agency Remote IT World, cryptomat vendor Bitomat, and teams from projects such as Sui, Chainbase, and DLT Seeblocks.
