The press release said that at Cardano Summit 2024, Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard and Binance CEO Richard Teng discussed strategies for building sustainable blockchain organizations, and noted the critical role of regulatory compliance in driving institutional adoption.
NASA systems engineer Matthew Vaerewyck discussed the potential of blockchain to transform the design and efficiency of space missions by integrating digital decentralized tracking technology, eliminating middlemen and reducing costs for multinational corporations.
Also at the Summit, EMURGO, a blockchain company that provides Cardano-based products and services to developers and organizations, announced a partnership with BitcoinOS, a bitcoin-based smart contract operating system.
Additionally, at Cardano Summit 2024, startup Goodwall partnered with the Cardano Foundation to launch the Global Impact Challenge, an initiative that supports young artists using blockchain technology.
Cardano Foundation CTO Giorgio Zinetti presented the foundation’s technology roadmap, emphasizing current research in quantum stability and post-quantum enhancements.
Also during the event, Blockchain Research Institute Executive Chairman and CEO Don Tapscott spoke about blockchain’s potential to change five key industries; DeFi, DePIN, DeSci, the arts and planetary issues.

The event concluded with the Cardano Summit Awards 202 for outstanding achievements in various categories. Winners included NMKR as the best infrastructure platform, Minswap as the best toolkit for decentralized exchanges and autonomous organizations, and Empowa as the «best blockchain for good». The Battle of the Developers competition, which featured early-stage Cardano startups, was won by Landano.
