Berachain — take part in the testnet with an eye on the drop
Berachain is an EVM blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK and uses the Proof-of-Liquidity consensus. The latter was designed to address the problem of liquidity inflows.
The project has raised $42 million in investment from funds such as Polychain Capital, Shima Capital and others, at a valuation of $420.69 million.
Berachain-Artio’s test network was recently launched. And in this guide we will look at what activities we can do in the project with an eye on the drop.
Activity walkthrough guide
Note: you will need a Metamask type wallet to pass. If you don’t have one, you can use our guide to install and customize a Metamask wallet.
Preparation
- Add a test network to MetaMask:
- Network name: Berachain
- New RPC URL: HTTPS://rpc.ankr.com/berachain_testnet
- Blockchain ID: 80085
- Currency Symbol: Bera
- URL: https://testnet.beratrail.io
- Requesting test tokens in the faucet.
Basic activities
- Go to the BEX website, connect wallet and exchange BERA for STGUSDC:
- We exchange BERA to WBTC for the same amount.
- Next, open the site Honey and swap STGUSDC to HONEY:
- On the Bend site, make a deposit of WBTC:
- On the right side, click Borrow to borrow HONEY tokens:
- Go to Pool on the BEX website and add liquidity to the HONEY/STGUSDC pool:
- Next, open the Berps site and open a long/short position (we need at least 10 HONEY tokens to secure the position) :
- Go to the Vault section and deposit a small amount of tokens into the staking:
- On the BGT Station site, we can delegate the tokens to our friends at Moni Talks:
- Go to Galxe and complete the tasks. Answers to the quiz: C D D D D A.
Unfold the smart contract
- Go to the Merkly website and select the Berachain network. Enter the name, symbol and click Deploy:
- Mint, burn and send the tokens created (you can get the address in explorer):
Other Activity
- Go to the website and mine the NFT:
- Next, open the site and mine BOBA tokens:
- Go to the site, connect your wallet and X (Twitter). Perform tasks and minte NFT:
- Open the Orbiter site and bridge between test networks using Berachain:
New Activity
Abracadabra
- Go to the site and in the Single token section enter tokens HONEY:
- Next, open the site Abracadabra. In the Borrow section, enter the LPs received in the previous step. Drag the slider under Mint MIM and confirm the transaction:
- You can repay the loan in the Repay:
Domains
- Go to the site and in the search enter the name of the domain we want to buy. Then click Add to cart and go to the cart:
- Mint the test USDC, click Approve and Checkout:
- Open the site and connect the wallet. Choose a free domain name and register it:
- Go to the Galxe page and complete the tasks.
NFT Mint by Morkie
Go to the site and connect your wallet. Perform tasks and mint NFT:
Conclusion
The project has gathered around itself a large fan base, posts on Twitter and an activity in Discord, which is hard not to notice. Performing activities in the testnet does not require monetary expenses and a large amount of time.
