20,000 participants and 800 side events: TOKEN2049 organisers summarise conference results

The TOKEN2049 conference was held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 18 to 19 September 2024. The organisers of the event in a conversation with Incrypted summarised the results of the event.
It is known that TOKEN2049 was attended by about 20,000 participants and a lot of speakers, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan, ex-CEO of Bitmex exchange Arthur Hayes and others.
In addition to the main conference, TOKEN2049 attendees were able to attend over 800 other side events.
«Highlights included the TOKEN2049 NEXUS Startup Competition, which featured 10 finalists who got a chance to impress leading venture capitalists and become the next crypto unicorn», — said the event organisers.
Attendees also got to see venture capitalist Balaji Srinivasan’s new venture capitalist school, a crypto phone from Solana, and learn about the stablecoin from BitGo.
Organisers celebrated Buterin’s presentation. They said conference attendees got a «special treat when the Ethereum founder decided to pay tribute to songs from his past crypto projects».
TOKEN2049 co-founder Alex Fiskum said:

The event also included an AFTER 2049 party. The event was held at the SkyPark observation deck at Marina Bay Sands, which is located on the 57th floor. The organisers said that from such a height there was a spectacular view of the evening session of Formula 1.
Note that TOKEN2049 will be held in Dubai at the 5-star Madinat Jumeirah resort from 30 April to 1 May, while the event will return to Singapore on 1 and 2 October the same year.
